Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates should carefully verify that they meet the educational and age requirements prescribed for their preferred course.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 38 Years
- Age relaxation will be provided as per Government rules.
Educational Qualification
For Basic Training Programs
- Welding, Fitting, Plumbing and Assistant Electrician: Class 10 Passed.
- 2D & 3D AutoCAD Drafting: Class 10 / ITI / Diploma / Degree Passed.
- Jacquard Weaving: Women candidates will be given preference.
- Plant Tissue Culture Technician: 10+2 (Science preferred).
- Animal Attendant: 10+2 (Science preferred) or ITI.
- Other courses: Minimum Class 8 Passed.
For Advanced Training Programs
CNC Turning & Machining
- ITI (Machinist/Turner) OR
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or allied disciplines.
Advanced Welding
- ITI in Welding OR
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or allied disciplines.
AI & Machine Learning
- Bachelor's Degree in any Science or Engineering discipline.
- The course will be conducted in online mode.
Field Technician – Networking & Storage
Candidates should have passed:
- BCA
- B.Sc (IT)
- B.Sc (Computer Science)
- Diploma in Computer, IT, Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, etc.
Course Fee
Most training programs are completely free of cost.
However, candidates selected for the Laboratory Animal Attendant trade will have to pay a training fee of ₹5,000 at the time of admission.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be conducted based on the number of applications received.
Candidates may be selected through:
- Percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- Screening Test (if required due to a large number of applications).
The final decision regarding selection will be taken by CSIR-NEIST.
