CGST Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details
As per the notification, there are a total of 11 vacancies. Out of these, 1 post is for Tax Assistant and 10 posts are for Havaldar.
- Tax Assistant: 01 post (UR)
- Havaldar: 10 posts (09 UR, 01 OBC)
The Tax Assistant post falls under Pay Level 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) in the pay matrix, while the Havaldar post comes under Pay Level 1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900).
Eligibility Criteria for CGST Recruitment 2025
Age Limit:
The age of candidates should be between 18 and 27 years as on 13th September 2025. You can use our age calculator tool wherever age criteria is required. Relaxation of up to 5 years is allowed for meritorious sportspersons, and up to 10 years for SC/ST sportspersons.
Education Qualification:
For educational qualification, Tax Assistant applicants must possess a Degree from a recognized university with basic computer knowledge and a minimum data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour. For Havaldar, candidates should have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
Sports eligibility is compulsory. Candidates must have represented the country, state, university, or school in recognized sports disciplines during 2020–2025. Preference is given in the following order: international participation, national medal winners, followed by university and school level achievements.
For Havaldar post, candidates must also meet physical standards. For males, the required height is 157.5 cm (relaxable for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and ST), chest 81 cm (with 5 cm expansion), and they must complete a walking test of 1600 meters in 15 minutes. For females, the required height is 152 cm and weight 48 kg (with relaxations for certain categories), along with a walking test of 1 km in 20 minutes.
Selection Process of CGST Recruitment 2025
The selection will be conducted in multiple stages. First, all applications will be scrutinized, and shortlisted candidates will be called for field trials to test sports performance and fitness. Candidates applying for Tax Assistant will also undergo a Data Entry Speed Test, while Havaldar candidates will be required to clear physical standards and efficiency tests.

The form must be filled carefully in block letters with a ballpoint pen (preferably black ink). A recent passport-size photograph should be affixed. The completed form along with self-attested copies of required documents like age proof, educational qualification, sports achievement certificates, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, and NOC (if employed) must be enclosed in a sealed envelope superscribed as “Application for Sports Quota Recruitment 2025.”
